Renmark River Villas.Great location, right on the riverfront, playground for families just up the road, and just a gentle stroll to the pubs and restaurants. The Villas have excellent facilities, featuring a lovely outdoor entertaining area, great pool and a well equipped kitchen.
my family stayed on the murray dream during the Country soccer carnival and we absolutely loved it deanne went above and beyond for my beautiful family before/during and after our staythe boat was clean and beautiful and it had everything we needed my children still talk about this holiday now bbq on the back deck and on the kayak are memories we will have for a lifetime.. deanne went out of her way to get our bond back after departure super fast and the cost for our stay there was definetly value for our money we do plan on returning to stay at boats & bedzzz in the future and could not recommend them highly enough and make sure i do when i know my friends or family are heading that waywe stay at alot of accomodation around victoria and south australia and this would have to be one of my favourites ;D
the owner asked us to clean the houseboat and it should be spotless otherwise we will lose our bond for not leaving it clean. What do you think, folks?
We were Asian backpackers working as citrus pickers. The owner always threatens us to make the houseboat clean otherwise she will withhold our bond. And we ended up losing $67 each. The story can be found in other reviews on this website. But I want to give other cases.Some of my friends stayed there and when they left, they lost $30 each (there were 8 people staying on the boat) for not leaving the boat clean enough. This was not the truth because my friends cleaned the houseboat thoroughly and nicely but still lost $240 in total. Does it really that expensive for her to clean the "cleaned houseboat"? I doubt it. There is another case, my friend was the only one left in her villa accommodation but got kicked out, because the owner wanted to rent it to some group of tourists for more money. I know business is all about making money but I think it should be in moral and ethical way.Be careful when you choose accommodation. She doesn't do this to local Australian people I guess but please think twice before staying with them, for their immoral behaviours.
The owner Deanne was horrible. She tries to withhold bond from backpackers for some stupid reasons. This happens almost every year!!!! She does this to Asian backpackers because she assume every Asian doesn't speak English and there is nothing we can do about her behaviour. Many backpackers picking oranges here knows something about this. For example, we were charged for the boat's front door, which cannot be slide-opened smoothly. The situation was not caused by any of us on the boat, even she herself wasn't sure how the issue happened. But she asked us to share the cost of fixing it. Moreover, there was a burn mark on the carpet, which wasn't done by any of us either. She said she had to get the whole carpet replaced. We argued about those costs but she said she had been reasonable, and if we are not happy we can drag them to court. She said this because in her mind, she knows we do not have money to sue her and do the lawsuit process.Be careful, people.
